“This table topper looked okay with some free motion loop-d-loops, but it really came alive with the added touch of the machine stitching in the ivory inner border. I was very pleased with the result and glad to use the 8200’s built in stitches to good effect in solving what seemed to be missing!
These scrappy placemats were fun to paper piece onto strips and I took advantage of the solid border to get in some free motion feather work!
This wall hanging was a bit of an experiment with combined free motion and ruler work. It kind of evolved and took on a life of its own, but the outcome is not too bad!
Still having loads of fun quilting up different projects and loving my Janome 8200QC. Also really enjoying the portability of my new Janome 7100 which is working out extremely well for out-of-home sewing days. So far I’m using it for piecing, but I expect I’ll dive into free motion with it as well pretty soon.”
Thank you Nancy for sharing with us. I’m always so impressed with the quality of your work!

Nancy writes: “Here are a few more photos of quilting projects I’ve had fun completing using my wonderful Janome MC 8200QC. I’ve recently been playing with ruler work for domestic machines with my ruler foot and some Westalee Designs rulers. Combined with other free motion stitching, the results can be pretty nice!” (We couldn’t agree more, beautiful work Nancy and thank you for sending us the photos.
